The Network formed to unify the efforts of cooperation and sisterhood among the organizations involved. The Network consists of leaders from each of the organizations involved. The Network itself operates on no funding. The Network serves as a base for presenting projects to Flowers of Hope, fundraising activities, distribution of funds received, and a collective theater performance group. The Network operates with the following Mission, Vision, and Objectives.
Mission
To support children, adolescents, and women by providing alternative spaces in the defense of education and health rights, to contribute to a better quality of life, from a perspective of gender equity.
Vision
Empower women, children, and adolescents to defend their health and education rights in the rural and urban zones of the Esteli.
General objective
Contribute to the socioeconomic and cultural development of children,
adolescents, and women attended by the Network of Women for Health
and Education in the neighborhoods and communities of Esteli.
Specific objectives
- Develop educational and health programs with gender equity
- Build
capacity for women to develop socioeconomic and cultural alternatives
for making better lives
- Support the fulfillment of the Child and
Adolescent Code [a set of national laws regarding the rights of children
and adolescents] with the development of programs directed to our
group goals
